Bio

“I guess my love of making music comes from my Mom” states Racer. “She used to strum guitar and sing to me when I was very young”. Kevin Martin Racer began playing guitar at the age of 11. He says he periodically played it, took some lessons but didn’t really get into it until he was 14 or 15. “Then I started jamming with some local kids and it kind of ignited something in me, I’ve never stopped playing.”

Fast forward to 2015, having made multiple stops on the way including a long stint on “Plan B – working for a living” says Kevin “I finally got to a point in my life where I just had to have music be the biggest part of it”. Performer, song writer, producer, recording engineer are all titles that equally apply to Racer. From playing in a local variety band to writing songs pitched to various music libraries and TV/film production companies Kevin has made music the centerpiece of his days. He states that he particularly enjoys the entire recording process whether its for himself or for others in his recording studio RogueWav Recording. “Being in the studio satisfies both my technical and creative sides” he says. “There’s something magical that happens when you hit that red button on the console, it just dares you to perform better than you’ve ever done before”.
